I want to buy a new processor for my gaming pc .my spec are below
Specs:

Intel core i5-2320

Motherboard : Asus Essentio CM6850 Series Intel Socket LGA 1156 Desktop Motherboard 61-MIBDR8-01 P8H67-M PRO/CM6850

what processor that compatible with my motherboard . Intel i5 skylake can?

Solution
Your motherboard is a socket lga 1155, not 1156. That means it supports 2nd and 3rd gen intel core cpu's. You can upgrade to an i5 3570 or i7 3770 but you can't upgrade to skylake. Skylake is 4 generations newer (6th gen) and runs on socket lga 1151. It also uses ddr4 ram rather than ddr3 ram.
The Skylake microarchitecture of CPU is marginally newer than the 1156 chipset your motherboard is, so it will not support it. In fact, your motherboard's chipset was discontinued in 2012, so nothing short of a considerably older and weaker CPU will be a good fit for that motherboard.

If I were you, I would try to upgrade my motherboard to a newer socket- LGA 1151 is the most common, LGA2011 is a even newer one. With the upgrade of a newer motherboard, however, you're looking at all-new components (if they're not compatible) and a new OS. So, if you're just itching to save money, I'd get an i7 for the 1156. It's really your only upgrade path without a whole new motherboard.
