Are you just gaming or doing other stuff (heavy video encoding, etc.)?

yes just for gaming, .. i dont have any idea in building a desktop computer.. I was actually leaning towards buying a gaming laptop, but a desktop with be more efficient so I disregarded the idea.. Yes I need a Monitor, maybe a Full HD.. maybe I can stretch my budget to 1400$? My only requirement is that it has an Intel i7 processor (sandy bridge), and an AMD 6950 GPU. Hope you can help me ..

Actually the i5 2500K is as good as the i7 2600K for gaming performance. Hyperthreading only helps multi-core functions like video encoding.

You will need to spend $150-200 on a 23-24 inch 1920x1080 monitor (text gets a bit small on a 21 inch 1920x1080 monitor IMO).

You will want windows 7 64bit home premium, should be $100ish. I forgot about that.

Yes, that motherboard and power supply will handle a second 6950 if you decide you need one later

If you really want to blow another $200ish, get a good SSD like this OCZ Vertex2 120GB, which is now $190 ($160 after $30 MIR).
