Hello and a happy new year, im searching for an upgrade for my good old trusty gtx 970 im leaning towards an rtx 2070 but im reading in forums and in reviews that these are breaking down within a week.Any suggestions what shall i do? are users here that use an rtx 2070 card?

PC Specs:
CPU : i7 6700k @4.5
MB: z170x-gaming 5 Gigabyte
RAM : 16gb @2666 corsair
PSU : 750W RMI corsair gold rated
Storage : 240 gb ssd kingston and 1tb sshd seagate
Monitor : dell alienware 240 hz

i can get a rtx 2070 cheaper than a 1080. is it true that the cards are breaking down?

Yes 2070 is a quite deal breaker. I had seen some benchmark of 2070 and it outperform 1080 anytime also 2070 is quite cheaper than 1080. So from my point of view 2070 is better than 1080.

All comes down to the danger of having one breaking down within a week
