I'm picking up an eleven week old ESS on Saturday [0] (b.15-Oct); the
problem is he is currently known as Bob[1][2]. Now I've been known to
look like a fool in the field, but I refuse to shout 'bob' at the top of
my lungs. Obviously a name change is in order, but I'm stuck for
inspiration.
If 'twer' a bitch then I would probably go for kess, tess, jess; or
bess(the ESS); but I've ruled out Wess or Less as dog equivalents.
Currently I'm thinking about jass, but I know a cocker named Jasper who
is probably called jas when he starts buggering about (I've never shot
with his owner, but it is possible I will, and would like to avoid
confusion).
So. Does anyone have any good dog names stored up?
Also what whistle pitches are everyone using now? When I trained Higs[0]
I used 10.5 because few others were, now there are half a dozen which
can complicate natters a bit.
[0] An early replacement for my black lab Higgins (Higs) who is going
deaf.
[1] his markings are near identical to his dads (Bob).
[2] All the others were known as one spot, two spot, Dalmatian bum etc.
