Greetings!

I would like to know which gpu will I buy because I don't have any idea to what will choose. I might mess up again >.<

so, um here are my specs.

APU : AMD A10 7700k w/ Radeon™ R7 Graphics 3.8 GHz Max Turbo, 4MB Cache
RAM : Kingston HYPERX 8gb DDR3 - 1600 CL10 240 - Pin UDIMM
Board : MSI A78M-E35 V2
^Board Specs :
CPU Support : AMD FM2+/FM2 A-Series/Athlon™ Processors
CPU Socket : FM2+
Chipset : AMD A78
Graphics Interface : 1 x PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot with AMD FM2+ processors > SUPPORTS AMD DUAL GRAPHICS
Display Interface : HDMI, DVI, D-Sub - Requires Processor Graphics
Memory Support : 2 DIMMs, Dual Channel DDR3
Expansion Slots : 1 x PCI-E x1 slots + 1 x PCI slots
SATA/mSATA : 6 x SATA 6Gb/s
SATA RAID : RAID 0, 1, 10 - Only available on ports SATA1 to SATA6
USB Port : 4 x USB 3.0 + 8 x USB 2.0
LAN : 10/100/1000Mbps LAN
Audio : 8-Channel[7.1] HD Audio
HDD : I'm not sure about this but I remember SATA 1tb ( or something like that )
Case/Tower : Generic w/ 220v PSU ( what is the best psu for this specs? )

so, I was thinking of adding a separate GPU but I don't know what to choose. I have researched a bit but I don't know which is best to choose. So this is what I got

Sapphire Radeon R7 240 4GB DDR3
Sapphire Radeon R7 250 2GB DDR3

I was also thinking of the "Dual Graphics" feature of this board. Can someone enlighten me with this?

I really don't know what to do.

so help me please.

sorry for the long post.

Have a nice day to all!

Edit : can someone help me in overclocking too?

Hi,

one better gpu would give better game performance.I don't think you will overclock so a good >450watt ( a good 430watt would work as well) psu would do fine, look at the tiers 1+2 in de next list,
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html#15349669
if not available or within budget would tier 3 do fine too.

A R7 370 or gtx 950/960 would be good choices for decent game performance on a not too high budget. The dual graphics might have too much issues and is game dependent too.
The r7 250 is a better choice but I'm you won't get far with that card. Its outrageously old!
Try for a gtx 750ti or a r7 260x(gtx would be my first choice). These are a bit more expensive but will actually help in games and other apps.

But I noticed you didn't put the wattage of the power supply. This has to be checked. If its under 400 watts than its underpower and will not.support a GPU. Also make sure your power supply has the correct cables(pcie 6 or 8pin).

Now for overclocking it depends on your cpu cooler. If its reasonably large(check online for small cpu coolers) than overclocking might be possible. So check that then look at videos online on how to overclock. But its an endeavor i dont recommend at all when your are inexperienced and unsure.

The double graphics mean that your APU works with the GPU for games, etc.

Hope I helped!

I read in some articles that this build supports dual graphics. so, I'm just planning on adding a bit more memory on my gpu because what im using now is just the stock one which is 1gb. and I also read in the amd site that those two are the only supported ones with dual graphics. But I really don't know how those things works.

Edit : I really don't know how to get the wattage but all I know that my psu is 220v. its written in the sticker there. . .

What is your budget for a new gpu?

With "dual graphics will the integrated gpu of the APU (cpu) and the dedicated gpu work together for better performance. The outcome depends on the game played though. The r7 250 would be the best choice, make sure it's a ddr5 version.

The ram you chose is pretty slow for an APU so this also will have an effect on performance.

There's probably a sticker on the side of the psu which gives more info about it,but "generic" doesn't sound good when it came with a tower.Which case/tower?

the only sticker in here is AC/220V plus this case is somehow locally made. like its not the same as cooler master and other branded case

question about the DDR, why choose DDR5? can you explain more because I somehow remember that in order for the feature to work properly, it must be on the same frequency??? i'm not very sure tho. and I saw some DDR3 in my board specs but i'm not sure what does that mean

correct me if i'm wrong.

If there's no other sticker on the psu,and i mean inside the case which means opening it,is that not a good sign.Nobody can say what that psu can handle and maybe adding the gpu will push it to far.I would recommend getting something better in that case.

The dddr's you talk about are difffferent things.I'm talking about the memory of the gpu, you're about the system ram, they have no correlation with each other so work seperate from each other.I want Gddr5 for the best performance of the gpu.

about the psu, my plan is to change it if ever I got the gpu. so if you are recommending me the r7 250 gdrr5, what wattage or volts should I use? and the best brand for it. also, is it possible to change the psu without changing the case?

what if I'll just ignore the dual graphics and add a higher quality gpu? more like HIS Radeon™ R7 370 or something higher than the r7 250? and if so, what is the recommended psu voltage for those higher gpu's
