ram : ddr3 4gb
mobo : gigabyte h55m-s2v
cpu : intel core i3 540 3.06 ghz
gpu : intel hd graphics

what i want to upgrade is my gpu
psu(curretly 400w and if its needed to be upgraded)
and my heatsink(currently has a broken pin and the temperature goes up to 60 sometimes when browsing internet )
compatible of my motherboard can i do it ?
or does it need to have other components upgraded too?

btw i play games like dragon ball fighterz (ultra low graphics)

sorry if this question doesn't make sense , has spelling problems or can't probably be upgraded

Solution
Nobspls------Ok So I saw the price for AMD RX570 which cost 170$ meaning 12400₹ for me
Same as well for gtx 1050Ti

SkyNetRising------- do I need better psu or old one is fine

Depends on manufacturer/model name of your PSU.
For GTX 750 ti it may not be necessary to change it.
For RX570 you will definitely have to change PSU.

Model Name : CPH698V12-400 (circle manufacture )

This one?
Well - that is 168W on 12v rail PSU. They sell it as 400W? Ridiculous.
Total garbage. You'll have to change in any situation.

yea anyways can you recommend a new psu alongside hyper evo 212 and gtx 750TI
or anything above 500-600w be good cuz im also thinking of overclocking my i3 core

Corsair VS450 450-Watt Power Supply what about this power supply

The GTX1050ti only requires a 300W PSU see:
https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-1050-ti/specifications

The cards should not need a 6/8 pin PCI-E power connector. So you might be able to get away with using your existing PSU until it is worn out, but you can forget about overclocking anything on that existing PSU. And it may wear out your existing PSU prematurely too.

But this will get your the best GPU you can get for the money your got right now. And let you worry about the PSU later. It is still recommened that you upgrade your PSU.

I would strongly advise against a GTX750ti because it is not even in the same ball park as see:
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-750-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti/2187vs3649
https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-750-Ti-vs-AMD-RX-570/2187vs3924

And you can see the GTX750ti has the same PSU requirement as the GTX1050ti:
https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-750-ti/specifications

Solution
you will need to get a decent PSU to get a GPU in it.
so a PSU 450W+ and GTX1050ti. both should cost you around 15000INR
i wouldnt risk whole system running on a Cheap 500INR PSU
and for CPU just remove the heat sink clean it up, apply a decent(any cooler master) thermal paste and put it back.
spending 13000INR on a old PC is just not worth it.

or you can sell your 9year old system for 3-4K and build a ryzen3 2200G build for about 18000INR -20000INR it can run all the latest games in mix settings 720p to 1080p
i got a 2200g and extremely happy with it.

thank you for finding this for me
i can try to get the 1050 ti with the psu you mentioned but i would probably prefer a lower gpu with the psu( the one you mentioned ) a cpu cooler a 4gb ram

thank you for finding out this is really helpful
i was thinking of buy one stick of 4gb(1500rs to 1700) ram with a good psu(the one nobspls mentioned) with the gpu and cooler you mentioned all of these fits my budget easily

thank you this is good advice but selling may not be an option for me
as for the gpu and psu i can make that work but maybe i will prefer a lower gpu , 500w psu , cpu cooler and another 4gb of ram

you can try Gt1030 or gtx750Ti over any AMD card it can run all latest games 720-1080p mix settings and cost around 6000INR..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyzOj_pg-DE here is r7 240 vs gt1030
and for 750ti u really need a good 450+ PSU, gt1030 you can run on your current PSU or any 300+ PSU
750ti is slightly better than gt1030 too
for CPU cooler u really dont need to go very fancy.. if u can find old stock intel cooler it would do the job ofcourse with a decent coolermaster thermal paste. u dont need aftermarket coolers if you are not overclocking.. intel stock cooler cost like 500INR
may be get case fan if you that gives you little more satisfaction.
with GPU you dont really need more Ram..your current 4gb is more than enough..u can use that ram money on a SSD it will give u better value for money 120 cost around 1800INR.

in case u still want to go with ram either get a 2x4gb (8gb) kit or dont get ram at all different make or different speed ram will create problems

ok then maybe i can do 2x4 gb ram gtx 750ti a better power supply with thermal paster ( cooler master) this question might be stupid but
just asking is thermal paste necessary with all coolers or is it optional

thermal paste is to transmit heat from CPU to cooler, good thermal paste transfer heat more efficiently you can cheap out on cooler but should never cheap out on thermal paste.. coolermaster one on amazon cost 250-300INR. you can find it little cheaper in market i got it for 185INR
-and for ram just check if your CPU and motherboard support Ram Speed. u can skip Ram, i suggest you get GPU,PSU and cooler test things out and if things dont work upto your expectations u can get ram too
-for PSU corsair VS450 orange would be fine. it was like 1950INR about a year ago.
