Hey there

So I built my first budget pc awhile ago, and I want to potentially upgrade some parts due to performance issues during gaming.

I mostly play cs:go, Borderlands, Overwatch that I've heard heavily rely on the processor. I have an apu so rip xd. Would buying and using a gpu improve performance in games (framerate) like csgo? How about an SSD (pretty sure it doesn't but may as well put it out there)?

Anything you guys/gals recommend?

My pc build is below (links may not work as I copied from a previous thread)

AMD A8-7600 Quad Core Socket FM2+ 3.1GHz APU Processor

Buying a GPU "could" help, but if you are playing CPU dependent games, then probably not. An option would be to add good CPU heatsink/cooler and overclock the CPU while adding a GPU and that could give you a nice boost. But overall you are correct, with it being AMD and an APU, you don't have a whole lot of options for upgrade. I'd buy the CPU cooler, overclock the CPU, toss in a GPU (1050ti or 1060 for 1080p gaming, 1070 if 1440p gaming), and yes an SSD will make your computer "feel" faster on day to day tasks and it will load games quicker if they are installed on the SSD, but besides that there will be no actual help in FPS or anything.
