I just bought the R9 270x, and hardware wise i think its all hooked up. The fans are going its hooked into the motherboard and it has the pci-e cords plugged in. Yet when i plug my HDMI cable into it i dont get any picture. Does this mean i have to uninstall the drivers for my integrated graphics display that my PC currently uses, and if so, how do i do that and install the new drivers at the same time so i get some sort of picture so i can see what im doing when i install the new drivers? Is it as simple as just disabling my onboard graphics, then restarting my PC with the HDMI cable plugged into the gpu and it will automatically detect and use that so i can install the drivers? Really confused here

It doesnt really help me, like I said hardware wise its hooked up completely. Im just not sure how to get the drivers instaleld and how to disable my onboard video so my PC will recognize it, because unless im mistaken (which is totally possible cuz ive never done this before) my computer wont recognize the R9 270x until i disable the onboard video.

I'm not sure about what you have to do with the onboard graphics but I do have some information that you might find useful.

1) You don't need to have the driver installed to be able to use the card, the driver just tells Windows what your card is and what it can do.
2) Make sure you plugged the HDMI into the graphics card and not the slot on the motherboard.
3) If the fans are still and it's not making any sounds, check that it's not dead. No matter how expensive the card, there will always be a dead one.

Hope this helps

Alright I got everything working now, but theres a slight problem. It may be because im using my TV as my monitor, but now there is small black bars on the side and the top and bottom that were not there before i got the GPU. Any idea why this would be and/or how to fix it?
