Hello guys

So ran into a problem during windows installation

Its a laptop with only 1 hdd,split into 3 partitions, c/d/e
There are important files on d/e parts

Formated C to install windows but now i get the gpd error, and this is my problem,i could fix it with diskpart, clean, etc, but then we would lose all data from d and e parts, any way this can be fixed?

Solution
can you set bios to legacy boot method as then all you should need to do is delete C drive and use that space.

If win 10 sees you are using UEFI boot method it will insist on using GPT

Alternative is copy all the data off D& E and just delete both partitions on the screen you choose drive and press next, win 10 wll create 4 partitions and continue on

How to move data:
change boot order so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer
on screen after languages, choose repair this pc, not install.
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose command prompt
type notepad and press enter
in notepad, select file>open
Use file explorer to copy any files you need to save to USB or hdd
