Hi, after reading reviews I am thinking of buying a XFX 450 for my build ( originally was thinking of CX series but thats bad..) So i heard that the 450 is the same as 550. Can someone tell me if the 450 version is enough for my build, i don't plan on hugely upgrading in the future, heres my build:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor (£78.40 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard (£67.96 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£60.99 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£39.50 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB FTW ACX Video Card (£119.99 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case (£44.99 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: XFX ProSeries 450W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (£41.50 @ Amazon UK)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer (£11.80 @ Amazon UK)

:D THANKS IN ADVANCE :D
p.s I see all answers and I will pick one :)

Solution
The 450 will be more than enough for that build... THe GTX 750 Ti only uses about 60-80w and i think that CPU is right around 100w, Your system MIGHT use 300w max.

Look up the 'Amperage on the 12 Volt Rail' or 'Amps on the 12 Volt Rail' information on the CX500 and the XFX 450. We can keep telling you but you won't believe us until you see the information for yourself.

The XFX has better capacitors.

XFX 450 - 34 Amps on the 12 volt rails: 'Rail 1 +12V: 34 A'
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/450w-xfx-core-edition-p1-450s-x2b9-80-plus-bronze-single-rail-1x120mm-fan-atx-v231-psu#ProductFeatures

CX500 - 34 Amps on the 12 volt rails: '+12V@38A'
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027

The CX500 will degrade over time where the XFX will maintain its wattage for the indefinite future.

The XFX has a 5 year warranty and the cx500 has a three year warranty.

It is a good thing to double check. I will just let everyone answer. Make sure to let them know that it is around the same price and that you are in the UK.

I thought that you didn't trust my reply so I got numerical.

It is always a good thing to double check on the forums since sometimes people miss details and recommend the wrong things, the thread gets too long or people gave up on recommending the best product, but in this instance the XFX 450 is a better purchase than the CX 500 since it has better capacitors. =)
