I just purchased and installed a new i5-9600kf w/ hyper 212 evo on an MSI z390-a pro mobo.
Installing the cooler was a bit forceful as usual for the "X" mounts when trying to screw it in, And had to press quite hard to make enough contact to tighten it. When I tested the board, I found that it would only recognize RAM installing in the 2 right slots, so separate DIMMs. The diagram goes D1-D2-D1-D2 and it recommends to install both sticks in D2 if running two, but the board simply won't boot if I plug anything into the left D1-D2 slots. If anyone has ideas to fix please let me know I would be very grateful. I'm getting an error message for inefficient RAM setup every boot due to using two different Dimms currently, and my PC has frozen/crashed a few times since getting windows and a few applications installed.
