[SOLVED] Help locating cmos battery for msi z390i mobo

So the symptoms are that the pc will not post sometimes on a single press of the power button. When it does post, the time is not synced. It does seem like the cmos battery might be dying, but i cannot locate the battery. Appreciate of you can help me out!

Do you mean you can't locate the battery on the motherboard, or you can't locate the battery for purchase? Because the board's manual will tell you where the battery is located on the board.

I see what you mean. That is really weird. And I've never seen a board with a M.2 slot on the back, either. Rough if you ever want to change it.
But the battery might be part of the board's componentry... non-replaceable. See if leaving the board powered up for an hour or so charges it.

The cover on the left over the HDMI, Displayport likely contains a vertically mounted battey.
