heres one for u ..... my brother gave me a gaming pc however he wants his copy of w7.. so kept the harddrive, i have a 1tb hd thats in my acer pc .. however my copy of w7 is on the harddrive .. how can i put my hard drive into this pc and run it .. even if its for 2 mins so i can get to erecovery on the hd

Try it. Windows may be able to boot. If so, it will load default drivers for your different board. Then go to Device Manager and uninstall all the old drivers. They'll probably have yellow exclamation marks by them. Then install the correct drivers for your board from the MB's DVD or website. After all is working properly, run CCleaner and have it do the Clean and Registry portions both to get rid of all the Registry errors it will find. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Good luck to both of you when Windows does updates and see a different MB. OEM licenses are tied to the MB.
