I'm looking to build a SFF PC for use as a CCTV server. I will be running blue iris security software and is quite intensive when multiple streams are being recorded.
I'm starting with the need of a i5-8600K or similar, can some direct me to a budget friendly motherboard and RAM for the build? Many thanks

mITX can be boards or GPUs. Motherboards are (usually) fine, but it's the graphics cards you want to avoid. Those are usually single-fan, lower-grade cards. The GTX 1070 Ti in there is a full-size (so, to be honest, it probably wouldn't even fit), You might as well avoid the GPU if possible, since you don't seem to need it too much and CCTV usually runs at around 10-25FPS, which is easily handled by Intel's integrated graphics. Just keep the FPS low and you'll be fine.

And WOAH - you are getting a much higher-power CPU than you (seemingly) need. How many cameras do you have?
From my understanding the CCTV rig requires CPU power much more than the GPU. I would like to keep cost down but dont want to be buying twice. Here is a link to the hardware suggestions. I'll take a look at that link you provided and will be back with no doubt more questions..lol! Thanks for taking time to reply. Paul.
