Approximate Purchase Date: Possibly tonight, probably tomorrow.
Budget Range: I'd like to spend around $8-900.
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, browsing the internet, watching movies, storing music and pictures.
Are you buying a monitor: No, not right away at least. I plan on using my 1080p HD TV as a monitor for now, and possibly using my older flat screen monitor temporarily if I encounter problems with the TV approach.
Parts to Upgrade: Everything.
Do you need to buy OS: Yes, but I don't want the price of the OS included in the price of the build for now. I plan on assembling things rather slowly, so I'll save up some money while I'm building for the OS. I would like some advice as to which OS I should invest in though.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: It doesn't exactly make a difference to me, but I would like to buy everything at the same place.
Location: Outside of Philadelphia PA.
Parts Preferences: Intel
Overclocking: I'm very new to building and fiddling with computers, so I'm not 100% familiar with the benefits or hazards of overclocking, let alone how to do it. If someone can successfully talk me into wanting to overclock, I might be down for it, but for now, I'm not very interested in doing so.
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: Not sure on the resolution of my TV.
Additional Comments: Hmmmm. I guess I should point out that I just want a computer that can play any game I throw at it, and not become frustrated because they look or play like crap. I'd like the case to look pretty neat too, but I want it to be functional more than I want it to look cool.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I'm doing this because I'm making this post from my Iphone.
