Help me build a new PC for around £1000

[Pyralize]

Mainly going to be using the PC for gaming as well making games mainly on unreal engine as I need it for uni and just a little bit of editing on the side.
Would prefer it to have a 1070 that supports 2 monitors and at least 16gb of ram with space to upgrade both the ram and add another graphics card in sli in the future.
Do not need a monitor included or the operating system.
Any help is much appreciated.
Around £1000 is good, could maybe stretch it depending on the specs

Here is an 8 core build with a 1060. Volta will by out by next year so really should be about the same to upgrade for double the performance.

Would I be able to get an SSD and put windows 10 on that along with a new HDD and if I keep the current build I could afford to get a 1080 but I don't know if it goes with the parts I am, I'm quite a noob with PCs. Otherwise I could sell my current build or parts and afford to spend around £1000 on a new build but then I'd have to get a 1070

What monitor do you have? The 1070 is plenty for 1080p / 60hz

You should also use crystal disk to do a health check on that old hdd, especially if there's anything important on it

Well, you could certainly build off of your system for a decent build that will 'get you by', but I'd recommend with a bleeding heart that you get a new system altogether. The FX processors weren't good to begin with, and they've been effectively teeth-kicked by efforts on both AMD and Intel's part. As well, being stuck back in the DDR3 days isn't nice. Getting a new system means much more optimization for the future, and even with a 1070, it will kick a lot more *** than your current system.
