Hello community, I am building a new PC to upgrade from, and am probably going to use my old RAM, PSU, and GPU.
I run CPU intensive gold farming and I've recently found out that my 3 year computer gets choppy sometimes when i try to bot, watch youtube and or play games like CS:GO or DotA. in the background
So please recommend me a new CPU + MB
My current build is:
MSI Z77A-GD65 LGA 1155 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130643
Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.5GHz (Already OC'd to 4.0) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116501
full build (not needed): http://pastebin.com/eQjT3eiZ

So yeah, I'm thinking of switching to LGA 1150, or LGA 1151, or LGA2011 depending on the price + performance
One thing that i have been thinking about is the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117402 I was thinking that this was be good performance since im getting 6 cores in this one.
Also GPU wise the game I'm botting isnt graphics intensive so i wont need an upgrade there, (Currently using GTX 960)
Thanks for reading

Upgrading from ivy bridge to skylake really isn't a very big deal in terms of raw compute power. If you're expecting anything significant at all, you're looking at a hex-core xeon... provided that whatever the gold farming you're doing can even run multi-threaded.

Might I make a suggestion?

Instead of just upgrading this computer, why not make a computer that's actually tailored to the farming that you're doing? That way you can let it do it's thing 24/7, and still have your computer, now freed of the intense resources you were asking from it, to game and stream on.
