I'm looking to build a new gaming PC. I already have peripherals (gaming keyboard, mouse, headset, speakers, monitor). I am looking to spend about $1000, but can go up to about $1200. I love gaming and tend to try everything that comes out. I'm looking to dabble with VR in the near future also. I got my hands on a new Geforce RTX 3070 just yesterday. Can you help me pick out the rest of the components please?

If you can wait till November 4th , the new Alder Lake cpu's will hit the market. You may want to see what they have to offer before you buy your motherboard and cpu. It will also give you choice to go either pcie 4.0 or pcie 5.0 , and use either ddr4 or ddr5 memory with the Alder Lake.

Did an uptick on your own build, Just some parts i would choose, like as said 2 ssd's, went abit overboard with the psu, but it will be able to handle a 3090 for instance if you ever wanted to upgrade and is only $5 more than the 750watt version, only the 650watt is alot cheaper, also chose another case which does have abit sparce front i/o i have to admit, but your choice will probably do fine,

For midrange cards will the RMx psu do fine it's good quality, was just looking at the "what if you upgrade" possibility. Am stil under the $1000 with this. Might want to add a third of the Arctic fans so those three could be at the front and move the Corsair to the top if you did choose this case ....

Well just some extra ideas. Maybe even makes it more difficult, hope not. 😁
