I want this to be the ultimate computer. Primarily for the purposes of stock trading as well as hd gaming.

I just need help putting this thing together.

Monitors: Need a lot of help here. I'm looking for a triple monitor set up. Should I purchase three single monitors and align them together or grab a triple monitor that is already connected? For either one, which one would you guys suggest I really do not have a clue here.

Graphics Card: This is also something I really need help with. What are the best graphic card available that are suitable for three monitors?

Case/Keyboard/Mouse/Speakers - I can pick these out myself, but the suggestion box is wide open here too.

So..

First question: Outside of what I mentioned I need help on, am I missing anything?

Second: Do all these devices put together create a functional computer? Yes I am completely new at this.

With the graphics card, it depends how much you want to spend but the minimum i would get for that build is HD 6950 2GB such as this:

Even better, 2 of them. (If the budget allows.) Your other options would be GTX 570, GTX 580, GTX 590, HD 6970 and HD 6990. I think the HD 6950 would come most highly recommended in terms of good value though.

That would all go together to make a great computer. I would recommend a 7200rpm hard drive though unless youre worried about electricity bills or something. A 5400rpm drive like that will be much slower.

Would I need two of those graphic card to support three monitors? Looking at Eyefinity, it seems like I only need one?

Also, that monitor looks incredible, but way bigger than I thought. It'll be tough to put three up there. I think I may only need two.

The reason you need 2 of the 6950's is because of the resolution. If you run Eyefinity or any 2 monitors. If you are running HD like 1920x1080, that's running a resolution of 3840x1080 which is pretty large considering a single card already has enough trouble running 2560x1600. So at the end of the day with a tri monitor setup, you are looking at a dual card configuration to run games smooth.

As for budget. What is your budget?

The Z68 Extreme4 is a great board, no doubt. But the Z68-GD65 is a great board too. Also it runs much cheaper and its in a combo with the 2600K

I don't know that you need the 2600K though since in gaming it only performs about 1-2% better. I'd suggest the 2500K to save $100

Well with Triple screens you would want at LEAST 2 cards; 3 would be best. What kind of case you have in mind to fit this all in?

Depending on your price range of course (2) of them would be ideal but (3) is best when connected crossfire SLI approved.

Where you buy the items is your choice, these are all ones i listed that I'm personally looking into building myself, only with using GTX 550Ti X3.

I forgot monitors if your plan is to use them in Triple my recommendation would be not to make them bigger than 25". I use Hanns.G monitor currently HZ281HPB

My problem is that I do not have a clue how to shop for these monitors. Should I get three that are already together like this:

You could just buy 3 of the same monitors. You don't have to have them all in one stand to use.

I don't really recommend the 590 at all just because of how much power it sucks. I think 2x6950 would be good enough for.

I figured that, but I think having a stand might be best for me because of the lack of space. Every inch counts on my desk. lol

It looks OK. Hard to say though, don't know the quality until it's actually in front of you. I think if you have a lack of space, tri-monitor may not be the best.

Even if the GTX 590 was recommended, 1 would be enough for a multi monitor setup and 2 of them would be overkill. Also i'm pretty sure 6 way SLI is impossible so you couldn't even have 3.

Yes, a lot of graphics cards cover 3 monitors, it's just a question of whether it's powerful enough to game across 3.

I honestly think though the 6950 2GB is your best route, like Darkside said, kind of.

The 6950 2GB gives you that 2GB of VRAM, not it isn't usually important however in high res gaming (1920x1080+) it does help quite a bit. Another thing it is quite a bit cheaper than single 590.
