My nephew recently graduated High School and got a job and he bought a gtx1060 and installed it on the older pc i had built for his dad,it had a i54670,8gb ddr3,gtx970,and a aftermarket cooler, think i put a 750w psu in it also, though not sure, now he wants me to build a new pc around the 1060 card,he says he can spend around 800$,from what i have been reading up on,he would be better off with a 1070 card for what im thinking he's wanting out of it.So I'm asking for suggestion,I was thinking a i56600k and a mobo that can be clocked with 16gb ddr4 so when he can upgrade his gpu his machine should be ok with it.Any thoughts and help are appreciated.

Put that I5 6600K with an Asus Maximus VIII Ranger/Hero.
2x8Gb G Skill Ripjaws 2400Mhz
And if your Psu is not good quality, buy a new one at least 550W. Check the tomshardware PsuTier List for info.
That should be alright with the 1060 for serious 1080p gaming.
The 1070 will be probably overpowered not to mention an expensive investment.

As long as you have a solid power supply, I wouldn't upgrade your mobo/processor/ram. The 4670k is a really solid processor, and can run with a higher graphics card. If I were in that situation, (which I kinda am, considering I have an i5 4670k with a 1060) and I had $800 for upgrades, I'd buy myself a 1070, and get a 16 gig kit of ram and call it a day.
