With a $2000 budget, I was wondering if the good people of tomshardware could construct and list all the components you would include as if it were your own money. UK websites preferred if possible. I'm looking for something (sort of) futureproof, including monitors if you would. Spend my money for me folks, I need ideas.

It might help if you list your uses. Is it a gaming only rig? What games do you want to play? Do you want to max them out? What kind of resolution/refresh do you want to play at? IMO there's no need to spend extra on future proofing; by the time the "future" arrives something better will be out that you can buy at that time if you need it.

This is what I came up with for a 1080p/144Hz build...
