[SOLVED] Help Me Build My Pc

I'm planning on building a PC with a core i3 3240 (Third generation), 4 GB DDr3 RAM, Zebronics h61 motherboard.

I've got a 710 2GB DDr3 from my old pc, which I'm planning to install too.

Is my configuration correct? Will I face any issues?

Will A 450 Watt PSU be okay?

I am honestly not sure. The Zebronics site has almost zero for information. Looking elsewhere it appears that it supports 2nd and 3rd gen Intel, so if it's native to 2nd gen it will likely need a BIOS update to support third. I didn't see anything on Zebronics website indicating support, BIOS revisions, compatibility list, etc.

Given the pricing for new i3, which would be a far better performer, it might be worthwhile to look into. Might be a good idea to post what your budget and needs are. Folks here are great at compiling builds.

H61 would have been for second gen Intel, so you might need a BIOS update prior to installing the 3240. So safest to get a 70 series board like H77, Q77, Z75, Z77 or look at a 2nd gen CPU to be absolutely certain.

GT710 is barely a video card, but certainly usable and faster than the Intel HD 2500, though if you looked at a little newer CPU, you could forego the GPU at all.

450W PSU is fine, even less would be acceptable, something like 250W. But that is poor planning for future upgrades.

I do not know your budget or situation but if you could afford it I would highly recommend something like this as a baseline for windows 10 and modern applications. The 10100 or 10400 can be swapped in to save a bit more money if needed;

That case has terrible airflow, and that motherboard is going to need some air moving over it, since the VRM's lack heatsinks. That ram is really too slow. Since it supports it, with an 11th gen chip, 3200 ram should be used. I made some changes for faster ram, and better airflow, without going too much more expensive.

I was being facetious. Has been a while since I've seen anyone successfully answer the old $500 gaming build.

But this looks more like a sub-$100 build if we are talking about building around an i3-3240.

I think the general consensus is not to waste money on old hardware. If you need a basic PC, on the cheap, just get an old office refurb, instead of wasting time/money hobbling something together.

That kit of ram would likely run at 2933 and I was trying to make it as cheap as possible given the information in the op. The case airflow is not terrible, its just not really good. Its in the middle of the pack. The front of the case has too much stylized venting in the front inhibiting what could be really great airflow.
