My budget is 500$. Can you guys help me out building a setup with the cpu being ryzen 5 3600?

Your options are going to be limited for only 500 USD. In this case it seems wiser to opt for an R5 1600 that goes down a lot in price at Microcenter sometimes, like 80-100 USD ranges. A CPU that'll cost atleast 200 USD is a little too much for a 500 USD total build.

That's a pretty low budget. Does $500 need to cover Windows and/or any peripherals? Is this primarily a gaming build?
