I'm not looking for a monster laptop (I know desktops are better), but something more actual, i7 or i5 laptop with a decent graphics and something I can upgrade to 12GB at least (RAM Memory)

I'll buy on Ebay.com

1. What is your budget? 500 USD

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15-17

3. What screen resolution do you want? 1080p

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Whatever

5. How much battery life do you need? Dont' care, always plugged I guess

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

I'm a casual gamer, last game I played was Path of Exile, I occassionally play low graphics games, maybe Doom 3??, but again, this is about video edition, so it has to be equal or better than 9800m gts

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)

Photo, Video, Gaming, that sums it up.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? Whatever.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

EBAY

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? Enough to keep using Sony Vegas pro 12

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? DVD

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

An Nvidia Graphics card preferably, that's all

13. What country do you live in? Ebay land.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. BLUETOOTH!!

you could hardly build a decent desktop machine for under 500...anyways you want a high end CPU, mobile i7, and a decent GPU along with 8GB or more RAM, depending on size and quality of videos you work with. Since youre already 500 deep I would recommend saving another 100 or 200.
