So i have two choices
1)Specs:-
GPU : EVGA GTX 770 SUPERCLOCKED EDITION
CPU : Intel Core i3 2120
Motherboard : AsRock H61m-hvs
RAM : 8 gb Ram (2x4) Running at 1333mhz
HDDs : 1 TB ( 1x Seagate Barracuda 500gb + Toshiba 500gb 2.5)
PSU : XFX 650w PRO CORE EDITION
price:327 US Dollar

2)intel core i5 2500 processor
3.3 ghz speed
8gb ram
500 gb hdd
win7-64 bit
dvd writer
Price:165 US Dollar

So which should i buy,i have a gpu and dont have money for first pc,should i wait to save more money or go for the the second one.

What motherboard and PSU is in the first one? Is it something like a Dell or HP? If so which model and is a Mini Tower or Small Form Factor.

Given the price difference. You could buy PC 2 then install just as good a PSU and GPU yourself. Then have a better computer for the money. But that all depends on my other questions.

i will buy rx480 for the second pc soon but would it bottleneck the gpu? would it be a good build for gaming?

Gut reaction: probably not.

Truthfully it will depend on the actual RX 480 model you intend to purchase and the dimensions of your case there. Looking at the pictures the case is like a small form factor one. If so, you would require a graphics card which conforms to that size. A photo of the back would be more informative but still no substitute for actual dimensions.

Much better. The Rx 480 is faster and newer than a GTX 770. The i5 2500 is faster than an i3 2120.

No it would not fit. That case is a Small Form Factor (SFF). You want to avoid those like the plague. Very few GPUs will fit in that style case. Only very low end units.

As for a new case. What brand is that computer. Dell uses a proprietary layout. You are not going to get it into a new case unless you drill new mount points in the replacement case. It's not a Herculean task. Although it can be daunting if you aren't handy.

When it comes to buying a used computer. Buying a case is a losing proposition. Once you pay for the case you may as well have paid the extra money initially for a used computer with the proper case. Unless you want a new case for aesthetic reasons or got a killer deal.

You want to avoid Small Form Factor (SFF) cases. A dead giveaway is the optical drive is mounted parallel rather than perpendicular to the height of the case. You also have to be wary of a BTX layout. BTX is generally mounted on the left. The problem being many have the PCIe x16 slot as the first slot. Making a double wide card impossible. You want it to be the second slot in this layout.

Here is a good deal on a desktop
Dell Optiplex 7010
- Core i5-3570 3.4Ghz
- 4GB RAM
- 500GB HD
- Windows 10 Pro

Then upgrade it.

If you want to save money on memory. You can look at buying used memory. It must be DDR3, at least 1600mhz, 240 pin, non-ECC (don’t get ECC/server memory, maximum size 4GB per module, up to 4x4GB (16GB Total).

I know the Dell Optiplex 390, 3010, 3020, 790, 7010 and 7020 mini tower (MT) models will work. They just need upgrades. The 700/7000 series has more RAM slots so is better and usually runs the about the same price.

You don’t have to limit yourself to Core i5/i7. You can also look at Intel Xeon. So if you can get a good deal on a Dell Precision T3600 or T3610 or HP Z420 with a Quad Core or 6 Core Xeon of at least 3.2Ghz. Those are good buys as well. They should already have a PSU which will support the Rx 480 and will likely already have enough RAM.

This HP Z420 is ready to go. All you need is the Radeon Rx 480. You can upgrade Windows to Windows 10. Although you will likely want a larger hard drive. This is actually a much faster and far more upgradeable system.

Here is an even better HP Z420 Deal. All you need to do is add the Rx 480 and perform the free Windows 10 updgrade. The 750GB HD should hold you over for a while.
