Question Help me choose a gaming laptop ?

This will be my first gaming laptop purchase and i am down to an MSI and a Gigabyte, same price, same specs. The only difference is that the MSI one uses DDR4 RAM and the Gigabyte one uses DDR5.
Which is the better choice, taking into account the cooling efficiency and battery's life ?

The models are MSI Thin GF63 and Gigabyte G5 KF5 .
I also noticed another difference, the MSI has an i7 12gen CPU whereas the Gigabyte has an i7 13gen.

Keyboard feel and display brightness may make the decision for you.
Gaming laptops depend on good cooling; without it, they will throttle when plugged in.

Dont know exactly due to exchange rates but around 800$_1000$
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
14" or more

3. What screen resolution do you want?
FHD is okey

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
It will be my mane laptop

5. How much battery life do you need?
Anything as it will be plugged in most of the time

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I mostly play games that aren't that much demanding on medium or high like LOL Dota CS Valo and a lot more (mostly fps games)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Editing, programming, engineering softwares

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
1TB can be upgraded later

I dont like hp and dell (personal reasons)
