Hi people, nice comunity!

Here in Argentina, it's no so easy to get a GPU... I want a GTX 970... there is no problem with the specs of my pc...just I'm not shure which one is better..

In my country I have 3 options (price is local):

-Asus GeForce GTX 970 OC Strix --> $8000

MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming Edition --> $8650

EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 --> $8500

The only difference I know is the Memory Clock Speed (EVGA has more)... but don't know anything else. I'm not going to OC.

Can you help me?

PD: sorry for my english

I love EVGA, but the ASUS are fantastic as well. Considering the price, I'd go with the "Asus GeForce GTX 970 OC Strix" 100%. Congrats friend!

So you would choose EVGA? If the price didn't care..

Thanks very much!

I have my 980 overclocked also around 1510mhz, it runs usually around 55 degrees on all game intensive games. With a fan speed around 40%.

If I wanted to be worried about temps, put it to 100% for it to go down to 45 degrees.

It depends on what he wants. They all have different designs, and the performance between them is in the 1-2fps margin.

I think that if he really wants better OC by far, he should go for w/cooling... Cause on my 960 1450 *stock voltage* and 1510 have like 2-3fps difference.

Only on air they are going to see a big difference in performance/clocks/ocing

Asus seems the best as goes Price-Performance ratio. However cooling is definitely superior on Gigabyte Windforce cards, if you don't mind the extra noise on load, while idle they are actually bit more quiet than any other aftermarket cooler card.

Take a look at these tests
