I'm considering the following monitors to replace my old Samsung 22" Black Rose T220@1680x1050@2ms. I'm looking at fast 23-24 inch models running at 1920x1080. I have included two 120hz models even though I have absolutely no desire to do 3D gaming, but I have heard even for general use 2D applications/games these screens look better than their 60hz counterparts. I'm not sure if that is true, but I wanted to include them. With currently one GTX 580 3G model in my rig, I realize that going to 1920x1080 may force me to buy another GTX580. That's fine. In any case
, here's what I have found on the Fry's site for consideration:
120hz models:
Alienware OptX AW2310 LCD(not LED....is that a concern) 23", 3ms
Samsung S23A950D LED, 23", 2ms
Regular 60hz
Asus VE258Q LED, 25", 2ms
Samsung S23A350H, 23", 2ms
I will be getting a photo IPS panel seperately at some point for my photo stuff, so this is for gaming, internet, etc. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated......
