hey so my budget is around 1000 euro
I will be using this pc for rendering and programming(blender, unreal engine , unity3d and visual studio)
I will also be playing games
I'm 16 so the budget has to stay as it is or at least close enough.

I already created a parts list but I went way over the budget without even including the monitor and peripherals:

Component Name Price in Euro
Intel Xeon E3 1231 V3 284.67
Cooler Master Hyper TX3 54.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler 23.49
ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard 93.97
G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory 128.52
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive 106.41
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive 58.04
Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card 374.49
NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case 81.5
XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply 64.95
Total: 1216.04

Is there any way to make it cheaper while keeping good performance?

I thought of going with prebuilt computers such as Digital Storm or alienware, are they worth it or am I better going off and building myown?

So my Questions in summary:

1.How to decrease the price of the above parts list?
2.Should I go with pre-built PCs or build my own?

Thank you so much for any help, I really appreciate it!

ohh and btw I don't need an optical drive as I don't tend to use one - I use flash drives instead
and I would prefer to have an SSD included to improve boot times

Ohh and I live in Ireland - but you can't get anything here so looks like I will be either ordering from Germany, UK or Poland.

Thanks again
:)

Anyway, here is a cut-down configuration (still no peripherals) that is closer to your price range. Note that you will also need Windows OS - that costs extra.

Solution
Here's the deal. If you have a budget, then you can't have everything you want. :) Hard fact of life. Then one looks for a compromise. I configured a Hybrid HDD - it has a small SSD integrated and with learning behavior, it caches the most-used data on the integrated SSD and speeds up access to that. That cut down the price of your I/O subsystem by 60 Euro.

Sure, go ahead and if you know how to download and make bootable a USB flash drive for OS install, then save another 12 euro. :)

You can adapt the configuration to see if you can get cheaper parts in the UK - just change the site location.
