Hello, everyone!
I was recently handed down an Asus DirectCU II GTX660 (factory overclocked) which I would like to install in my PC (presently an Intel Pentium G3258 @ 3.20GHZ, no graphics card). I don't want to risk running this setup with my current 460 W cont. Gigabyte PSU, so an upgrade is in order. The previous owner of the GTX660 ran it on a Corsair CX750M, not wanting to risk anything less after a long trial of cooking lesser PSUs and one identical GPU. He suspects bad luck and lack of experience on his part back then may have played a role, as did his hungry FX-6300 CPU.
What PSU would I be better off choosing? The previous owner guesses a Corsair CX550(M) might suffice, but says I'm better off getting a second (and a third, and fourth, and so on) opinion.
