help me choose an ereader\ebook reader

hello im going to be bed ridden for a few weeks due to surgery and dont care much for tv but love to read can any one recommend a cheap yet decent ereader was thinking of buying one used on ebay as i dont have much to spend but im out of the loop as far as ebook readers go my friend suggested an older kindle non touch screen what do u recommend as far as quality and price

current tablets are rather cheap and high quality. get yourself a nexus7, or a Asus MemoPad, and you have yourself a high quality e-reader+ tablet for less then $150

Even a kindle fire (7") will come in a little under $150

Have to admit. Even if I did get a nice tablet with an E-Reader app, it'd be hard pressed to actually replace my original Kindle. Easy on the eyes. Awesome battery life. Mine get me though many a cross-town bus rides.

i only have at max 50$ to spend hence why i said used also i have no need for a tablet i just want an ereader

The Kindle paper whites are excellent but you may not be able to get a used one yet.
Any Kindle really would be good.
However do not go for a Sony ereader you really do not want the hassle with Adobe EPUB.
