Building my first workstation but unsure on what SSD i should buy. I am looking to get into Motion Graphics professionally so lots of rendering but i also want to play new demanding games as they come out on high-ultra settings. This is what i bought so far.

CPU: CPU Intel Core i7 6800k 2011-3/3.40GHz
CPU Cooler: Fazn Aero 120T
GPU: MSI VGA GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte Motherboard X99-UD4 (Χ99/2011-3/DDR4)
RAM: Corsair Desktop RAM Vengeance 32GB Kit (4x8) 2400MHz DDR4
HDD: 1TB WDC ( Keeping from my old PC )
PSU: CoolerMaster SilentProM 1000W 80 PLUS Bronze Certification ( Keeping from my old PC )
Case: Fazn Warhawk III Midi Tower
SSD: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB ( Keeping from my old PC )

Now i'm going to buy a 2nd SSD, a 250gb one. I'm between:
Western Digital Blue M2 and Samsung 850 PRO.

I was told to stay away from the WD M2 one and go for the 850 pro but i'd like to hear suggestions since i am kind of clueless when it comes to hardware.

You have two kinds of M.2 SSDs, the ones that come from Sata units with a limit of 550 Mbps and the ones that are properly designed for x4 M.2 slots with speeds of 2 Gbps.

Between the two because the WD Blue M.2 is one of the first (not real M.2 units) i will get the 850 PRO (but atm you are paying a lot for it, it's very expensive now).

The other option is to get a "proper" M.2 like the Samsung 961 or 951 if is still available, expensive but fast as hell.
