Help me choose between intel cpu

Hi guys , iam planning to buy a new cpu for my pc , the problem is i don't know wat to buy . I want an intel processer for gaming purposers . MY motherbroad is biostar and the model is G31-M7 TE , it supports intel dual2core , core2duo, core2quad and celeron.
The intel processers which iam able to get is
intel dual2core
" core2duo
" core2quad [ iam not sure if my stores have it]
So please guys help me out because i am dying to play resident evil 5 and thanks guys for ur help.

for gaming. out of those processors. go for an e8400 then overclock.

or if the price difference isnt that much maybe consider q9XXX. but i think they are still too pricey to make it worth it

dude the e8400 is too expensive i know it rocks but it's too much .k then wat do u think about e3200.

oh ok. whats the budget then?

if you can afford a 5300 or 6X00 then they will be allot better for like $20

either way they will all be easy enough to overclock and gain some cheap power

oh ya sorry meant the 5300 , it's like 69 dollars . Do u find it good for modern games.

To be honest, for modern games, you're going to need a better GPU. I don't think the CPU makes a huge difference.

That said, I would go for the E5200 and overclock the sucker as much as you can. I get 3.9 on mine on air and it cost me $50.
