I plan to replace my existing 55-in. LG 4K LED TV with a 55-in. 4K OLED TV. My budget is set to $1000 for the TV. I plan to go to my local Walmart to look at the two candidates:

 LG 55" Class 4K UHD OLED Web OS Smart TV with Dolby Vision B4 Series - OLED55B4PUA https://www.walmart.com/ip/LG-55-Cl...ries-OLED55B4PUA/5446374203?classType=REGULAR

 SAMSUNG 55” Class S90D OLED Smart TV QN55S90DAFXZA 2024 https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/5332753681

Which ever TV I use will be mainly for streaming content on my Roku Ultra and watching 4K Blu Ray and Full HD Blu Ray content from a 4K disc player [leaning toward  Panasonic Premium 4K Ultra HD Blu Ray Player UB450 (Has HDR 10+, and Dolby Vision) https://www.walmart.com/ip/Panasoni...450/6045554014?classType=REGULAR&from=/search ]. My main concerns between the two candidates for watching content are their reliability and image differences between HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. I also want a TV that can handle gaming from a gaming PC (with Nvidia, Radeon, or Intel GPU) and a video game console (Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X, or PS5 Pro). My understanding is that the LG TV has G-Sync and Freesync built-in while Samsung has its own gaming features. I am sure either TV would work well for my content watching needs, but I would like your recommendations on which TV would be the better option for gaming from a PC and/or console.

Thanks in advance.

S90d is the superior option. Both tvs will deliver on what you want to with hdmi 2.1 (4k120) ), adaptive refresh tech, superb picture quality. The S90d is closer in competition with c series of LG. The b4 series has some key draw including lesser sound quality and reduce brightness in hdr. Both tvs can gsync and freesync so no concerns there. For HDR, the s90d is better in both standards to higher brightness and less aggressive full screen local dimming.

I looked at a 2025 LG 55" C4 OLED 4K TV at a different retailer, it was nice. I also looked at a 2024 model of the LG C4: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CVRDK4P...WLRVQOS68&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1. Is it nearly identical to the 2025 LG Model? Also, I did my math for the cost between the Samsung 55" S90D and the 2024 LG C4. Believe it or not, while the S90D would be cheaper, the Samsung 5.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar (renewed) and Panasonic Player that supports both HDR and HDR10+ are more expensive. The cost is $1528 total before taxes and warranties from the retailers offering the cheapest prices. With the LG C4, the TV is more expensive, but the LG soundbar and Sony player (renewed) that supports HDR and Dolby Vision is cheaper. The cost before tax and warranties is $1491. My intent is to get the TV and soundbar from the same manufacture and the player that supports the TV's HDR formats. Regardless of which TV I choose, will both of these TVs serve me well for both content viewing and PC/Video gaming?

Those tvs are basically equal in performance. Whichever option you go for, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference.
