Help me connect to internet

I have an old hp pre-built PC from 2007 that is running Windows Vista as its OS. I have tried connecting it to internet using an Ethernet cable, however, it wasn't being detected. Do i have to do something else? Why won't the Ethernet work for internet?

Are the drivers installed for the Network card and have you tested with a different cable?

There is no seperate PCI card for network, it's on the Mobo and no i didn't try a different ethernet b/c i don't think that's the problem. How can i find out which drivers to get?
