ISP: Telenor 5G broadband with 200mpbs download / 100mbps upload

WIFI Router: Jensen AX1800 Dual Band Giganit Wi-Fi 6 router

my OLD laptop PC which i have sold:

Dell G3 15 3579 (G3579):

- Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) | Bluetooth 5.0

my NEW laptop PC which i have RIGHT NOW:

LENOVO LOQ 16APH8 RTX 4050 16" GAMING LAPTOP

- Realtek RTL8852BE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter

firstly: the reason why i am mentioning the laptops is because this used to happen very rare on my previous laptop, but this has happen far to often on my new laptop.. i find it quite strange

And here is the problem which i have had the last couple of weeks:
- At random times of the day, my internet speed drops significantly, and i am having massive wifi problems at home!!
- THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE, but since august(when i bought the new pc), it has happen way to often!!
Firstly, i was thinking. Could the new PC be the problem? Could it be that my brother has moved back home(this used to happen often years ago when he was home).

But i see that my father/mother and me also have the same problems from our phones recently.

Could it be problem at the ISP? I dont know, but something is very strange here.

Right now, as i am writing this, i am doing speedtests from both my laptop and my samsung s22 which are both connected to the 5GHZ network, both of devices supports Wifi6.

From my laptop:

From my samsung s22:

As you can see, when i run speedtest from my samsung phone, the download and upload speed is pretty good, exactly how it should be, this is how it has always been. You also see that the MS is as low as 33, which is good. On the other hand, the MS is pretty high when doing speed test from my laptop.

Here are the wifi settings on my router:

Somebody who has solution to this? im currently dejected, and cant do anything about this..

UPDATE, 08.22PM: i did another speedtest from my laptop, now my MS is as high as 197!!!:

the question is, do i need to place my laptop above the desk? or maybe update drivers?

What is your actual problem.

Huge variations in the speed and latency is one of those things that happens with wifi. You share the radio bandwidth both with all the other wifi devices in your house and all your neighbors wifi. The devices will interfere with each other which causes data retransmission. This causes delays which increase the latency and at times will also decrease your transfer speeds.

There really is nothing you can do about wifi. You might get different results by changing the wifi channels but your neighbors are likely using all the other channels also. You can also try to reduce the channel width but this will reduce the bandwidth in exchange for possible a more stable connection.

The location of the antenna can make a difference. Just turning your pc around can make a difference. With a laptop you have few options. Desktop some have wires that let you extend the antenna to the top of the case.

But even this may make no difference. Almost all wifi problems are related to interference. In general it does not affect most applications...except online games which is why it is always recommended to not play online games on wifi.

Ok, so after some research, it seems that the problem is related to my network card: Realtek RTL8852BE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCIe Adapter

I have done several tests with my, my dads phone, and my dads laptop, and out of 10/10, the ms on the speed tests are below 50. but on my pc the MS is always over 80.

A quick google search tells me there are several people out there with the same network card experiencing the same issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/LenovoLegi...rible_wifi_legion_515ach6h_realtek_rtl8852ae/

Well, then i dont think you read my question, this did NEVER happened before, extremely rarely, now it happens too often.

bill001g gave you most likely answer to your issue. Move the laptop test, move test , move test. If you run better there is your answer. If it stays the same there is your answer as well, its your wifi card.

Out come 3 is your brother adding to your network load.

I purchased a wifi 6 usb adapter 1800mbps from Ebay as i saw on the web that alot of people with same network card are complaining. So im waiting to see if this will resolve the issue.
