Help me decide on UD590 or ROG Swift

I recently just purchased an MSI GT80 Titan-009 and hate looking at this screen. I want to use an external display for gaming and decided to grab a UD590 for 499 at best buy. I'm using an HDMI connection while i wait for my displayport cables, but feeling like i want that 144hz rr over this 60hz.

Can these two 980m's handle g sync capabilities? What would you go with for gaming between these two?

hardware wise i think it has what needed to run G-Sync. probably not on the laptop itself but with G-Sync based monitor like Acer XB270HU
