I dont have actually have a "budget", but i would love to get the best performance/value, so my options are:
FX-4100 (99 euros)
FX-4170 (116 euros)
FX-6100 (119 euros)
FX-8120 (162 euros)
I5 2500k (192 euros)

So, I would like to get the best performance in Battlefield 3 and upcoming Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2 for the cheapest price.
If i could get a solid 60fps with the FX-4170 then I would buy that - thats my priority.
My current specs are:
Gigabyte ep43t ud3l
intel pentium dual core e6500 2.9ghz
2x2gb corsair vengeance 1333mhz
nvidia geforce 560 factory OC 925mhz
corsair gs600

So, what would you recommend ? Should i go with the 8120. Ive heard i5 2500k is the best at games, but im not gonna OC anyways and I just want to play BF3 at 50-60fps and record/livestream games etc. I cant really decide myself so what would you suggest?
PS! Intel/AMD fanboys stay out please or make a really really good statement on why I should buy that, i want to hear stuff from rational people. (I know the end I will have to choose, but i know there are a lot of smart people on here to nudge me in the right direction.)

Thanks!

Completely your call. If you're wanting 60+fps you're best bet is the 6100, 8120 or I5 2500k. They are all capable. Your biggest need will be the GPU with those as the CPU will be the bottleneck. Even the 4170 would be ok but won't grow with you as future games will be able to take advantage of more cores.

well its the most expensive and with that i also have to get the 68 chipset mboard which will cost me a lot !
Can you please tell me WHY i should buy the 2500k ?

@kramedrk
Youre saying my GPU will bottleneck 6100, 8120 or 2500k ? Which one should I get then, what would yo usuggest.

@seumas_beathan
Why wont i need the 68 mboard and why would i be better off with intel ? I mean, fx8120 has 8 cores and 2500k only 4

No, the CPU will always be the bottleneck with most of the newer cards when playing. Your frame rates will still be 60+ with any of the above processors (the 4100 is a slowest). Personally I would go with what falls within your budget (even though you don't have one.) If your goal is playing those two games and having some growth in the future go with the 8120. If you want the best on the list, that's the 2500.

The fx8120 has 8 core, but that's also not entirely true. The 2500k is going to faster speeds than the 8120. But if it were me I would save the 30 euro and go the 8120. I could be happy with any of them. Stay away from the 4100 though.

Ok, well the i5 really does hammer it...
Anyways - the default clock is 3.3ghz, how much can i nudge it up with a stock cooler + i have a good case with gpu going 50 in gaming, cpu is 55 in gaming and at idle gpu is 30 and cpu 35-40

Well you would need either a p67 or z68 board to overlcock but you could easily get it to about 4.2ghz

You can get a cheap 30 euro cooler which would allow you to overclock to about 4.8ghz

You're changing what you're looking for. "If i could get a solid 60fps with the FX-4170 then I would buy that - thats my priority. "

Can you get a solid 60fps with the 6100 or 8120 - Yes. Is the 2500k the "best" - yes. Pick what you want. I'd save the 30euro.

Well, there must be something wrong with the AMD processor, if an "old" 2500k hammers it and its a 8 core processor, why is it 30 euros cheaper than the 2500k ?

And yes, i was changing for what i was looking for.
I want the best performance/value that would not fail me when it comes to playing battlefield3, diablo3 and guild wars 2 and which would also be powerful enough for fraps video recording during playing (making youtube playthrough etc.) and livestreaming.
So, should i go with 2500k and p67 or fx8120 and a "random" am3+

Well then you would be making a big mistake, 30 euro really is not much at all and if you can get a much better cpu you should spend it, the 2500k also runs and cooler

Alright, so this is where I need help aswell:

http://arvutikeskus.ee/

Thats the only decent pricing estonian website for comptuer parts, if you have google chrome or you can speak estonian/russian/finnish please check it out and find the best(cheapest) p67/p68 mboard for the i5 2500k and check if it works well with the rest of my pc components:

corsair vengeance 2x4gb
corsair gs600 600w psu
5400rpm hdd (im planning to buy an ssd in the future)
bitfenix merc beta computer case (4 front usb headers that i will be using)
1 intake system fan at the back of my case(im planning to add 1 outtake)
nvidia geforce 560gtx factory OC 925mhz

Thanks a lot for your trouble!

So how would this work with the rest of my specs:
http://arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTEKATALOOG/ARVUTIKOMPONENDID-Protsessorid-CPU-LGA-1155-protsessorid197/INTEL-CORE-I5-2500K-33GHz-6M-S1155-BX80623I52500K-SR008-BOX-103762 - CPU
http://arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTEKATALOOG/ARVUTIKOMPONENDID-Emaplaadid-LGA-1155-emaplaadid198/Gigabyte-GA-Z68P-DS3-Chip-Z68-4-x-15V-DDR3-DIMM-Dual-channel-Graphics-1x-HDMI-120438 - MOBO
http://arvutikeskus.ee/est/TOOTEKATALOOG/ARVUTIKOMPONENDID-Kovakettad-HDD-SSD94/CORSAIR-FORCE-3-60GB-25-SATA3-SSD-CSSD-F60GB3A-BK-133621 - SSD for os and a couple of games

My current specs:
gigabyte ep43t ud3l
corsair vengeance 2x4gb 1333mhz
pentium dual core e6500 2.9ghz
gtx 560 factory oc 925mhz
corsair gs600
bitfenix merc beta case
5400rpm hdd sata2

So, i only want to replace the mobo and cpu and add an ssd for os and leave the hdd for storage.
Would this work out perfectly without conflicts?
