hello, so i got enough money to buy a 1080 evga SC (in my rig i got a r9 390), but i cant decide if to buy the 1080 or a samsung s8+ (my current phone is a note 5), where im from both cost the same, but its been a week and still cant decide which one to buy.

my monitor is a philips 1920x1080 144hz 1ms 27"

Your video card is still fine, so is the CPU, asking for opinions from other really won't help you, get what you want. We can only say what we would do.
If it was me, I would not spend money on either thing since both your current video card and phone are still perfectly fine.

Note 5 is fine ? it lags alot today ... Samsung old phones lag from their stupid interface. it is not like native Android on google pixel.
