HELP ME DECIDE!!! video card for my build???

I'm building an internet surfing / light word processing computer for my parents. The current specs are: i3-6100 processor, 16 Gigs DDR4, single monitor, SSD for the hard drive, Windows 10 x64, and a 600 watt power supply. Would adding a discreet video card have any performance benefit for this kind of use, or would it be a waste of money? If I decided to get a discreet card, the ones I'd consider are the GTX 750ti or R7 370 but I realize they may be overkill and I'd appreciate other less expensive suggestions. Thanks!

600W power supply sounds to me like:

1) You are getting an extremely cheap junk one. Which you shouldn't.
2) You don't understand the actual wattage requirements of such a computer.

It does not need a discrete graphics card. And anything more than a Pentium G4400 is overkill for a rig like that. As for power requirements, under max load your computer won't surpass 100W. A "600W" (and 600W is a very generalized term anyway that should be taken lightly) won't be very efficient under that type of load.

To be honest, you often will get a better bang for your buck buying a prebuilt Dell or HP for their needs.

The Intel iGPU that comes built into the processor is more than enough for this application, no need to get a discrete GPU at all unless they will be playing high-end games on it, also the 600W PSU is overkill if it is actually an 80+ certified PSU and not just a cheap unbranded one.
