So which would be better for Playing GTA IV, and with option 1 by adding the PSU and Graphics Card would I need to worry about overheating?

The first system with the 4890 would be better. A 4890 would outperform a 5770 by quite a bit. Although you would be fine with the 5770, especially since your resolution is only 1600x900.

(That being said, the do it yourselfer inside me obligates me to say if you built your own computer you would be able to build a computer that is better capable of playing GTA4 than either of those systems for the same price. ;)

I ask you though, how long do you intend to keep the computer and do you intend to do anything else with it? 8GB is way overkill now, but in a few years if you haven't upgraded or gotten a new computer, it would be worth having.

People may say get the 5770 even though it is lower performance it supports DX11. But think. DX10 has been around since like 2006. Even today, most games that have DX10 also support DX9. It will be years before you will really need DX11. For future's sake, the 4890 with better performance and DX10.1 would last you longer.

Based on only a less than $50 price difference, get the first system.

I honestly thought about building my own computer but just too many options and not knowing what goes with what it just seems to confusing to me, I usually try to get a new computer about every 3 - 4 years, and I plan on using it for gaming, browsing just general stuff like that...
