So as you can see this is happening. I did troubleshoot the ram, results are positive. What else can it be? Is it gpu? Is there a fix or my gpu is legit dying. My pc just crashes and I boot it back up, rainbows happen. Sometime it fixes itself instantly, sometimes it fixes itself later.

Pls help

My gpu is r9 270X

All drivers up to date. I legit did a fresh OS like 5 hours ago from where I posted this
Oh and the OS is Windows 7 64 bit ultimate
Sometimes, at very rare occasions there was an error that wattman or whatever it's called has crashed

Solution
I have never seen such extreme glitches like this even in extreme overclocking or prolonged overvoltage. Maybe your GPU is "dead" as a result of overheating...if the GPU bit the dust in the face of overheating (pun intended) then get yourself an RX 470 now for cheap given GTX 1080 Ti is released.

Or check your HDMI cable, who knows, maybe your cable is dead...
Or CPU possibly (is it OCed?)
Or maybe PSU unable to supply enough power.

Or your overclock on the GPU is just not stable (if you OC) and you need to scale it down a bit.

2 things to try out:
1. If your CPU has onboard graphics and MoBo has monitor port, remove your GPU and try running your system off from CPU onboard graphics by connecting your monitor to the MoBo.
2. Try different monitor and look if you get the same effect.

Though, having 2nd GPU fixes your problem if your old GPU is dying.

Try checking using other HDMI, DP or VGA cables. I don't really know much when it comes to this kind of issues, but AMD has this kind of issue. Try using a different GPU, if you have one spare. It can be weaker if it has to. Or just use onboard GPU and see if the problem is fixed
