I dont remember that much, but you had gremlin-like monsters and you could lead them around the place, they could get ill and even die, i think there were at least two titles, please help me

I remember playing it on a windows 95 or 98, between 1997 and 2003, its not 2d, it has a little bit of a 3d effect, even though its still a side scroller, the focus was mainly on these monsters, it was like you were taking care of them, and that was the most important thing, it was more of a relaxing game, (without a goal?)

That's a very vague description. :)
Probably not it, but my first guess to "lead them around" was "Lemmings".

I had this problem a few years ago. I had a very vague memory of a video game that I played on my friends Amiga, way back when, and it was revolutionary at the time. After many years I finally tracked it down. Ack, still have trouble remembering it. :) Shadow of the Beast: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qipWqOwkceg

Ha, both games incidentally were published by Psygnosis. :)

Sounds like Overlord except for the time frame and side scrolling aspect.

It seems vaguely familiar. I remember something like that which was something of a cross between overlord and lemmings as previously stated, but my memory seems really hazy on the matter.

I can't believe I have found someone else looking for this game! I remember you had to incubate the eggs and then they would hatch. You could get machines which threw carrot and other food seeds everywhere so that they could eat. There was a lake where you could fish but you had to travel over it in a boat. You could look on a map to oversee the 'world' but it would be black until the gremlin type things went to that area. I remember so many little details! But the game never really had a point to it, and you could look at your graveyard of how many gremlins had died and mine was always full!
