Help Me Fix My Friends Pc

Hello my friend bought a pc and its been okay so far but then randomly stopped working when he tries to turn it on he said it makes the restart noise then his screen is just black at first i thought might be a ram issue until he told me it does not beep multiple times so now my guess is gpu or psu what do you guys think it is have you ran into this problem and do you know how to fix it?

Lack of beeps does not eliminate a RAM error. I would start by taking a look inside, re-connecting all the wires and re-press the cards into their slots. And then you can just start disconnecting items one by one until hopefully something changes. So 1 piece of RAM at a time, take out the graphics card, load up to the onboard. Remove the HD. If you have a voltmeter, you can give the power supply a quick test as well.

Now if after all that, there are no signs of indication. It is always a guess between the motherboard and cpu to me.

The board may not beep due to memory - or any - errors if it doesn't have a built-in "buzzer" speaker, like this:

Not all boards have one built in. Therefore you can't necessarily take a lack of beeps to mean anything.

Win 7 cracked he is bringing his build over today i ognna check if its ram and gpu and try new mobo and psu

I fixed it for him it was a issue with his hard drive so i gave him my spare one and fixed his other one now he got 2
