Dear members,
I bought Gskill F4-3000C16D-16GTZR TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2x8GB) I running in 3000MHZ speed by D.O.C.P profile without any problem ,After i planned to upgrade 32 GB ,So i bought another Gskill F4-3000C16D-16GTZR TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2x8GB) But i cant run in 3000Mhz pc wont boot until ram settings default to 2133,
Kindly help me to solve this to run 3000MHZ speed.
Thank You

MY cpu -Ryzen 7 2700X
Mother board -Asus B450 gaming plus

Meaning it can go faster as you had it faster. The issue is the memory controller, found on the CPU, can't run that many sticks that fast. Meaning 3000MHz or more. I would think 2666 or maybe a bit more could be done, but if it's 2400MHz then that's the best you can do. Moving to 1.5V might help, but personally I don't like giving DDR4 that much on a 24/7 basis.

I'm curious if the extra ram even matters. Personally I would think 16GBs at 3000 or 3200MHz would perform better than 32GBs of ram at 2400. But that's because my ram usage doesn't normally go above 10GB, let alone 16GB. I'm not sure what you are doing with this PC but staying with faster 16GB might be better.

You are moving to four ram sticks which isn't going to work as well as two. You should be able to get better than 2133 I would think, but obviously you aren't going to get 3000. I looked up the 2700X and it's max official ram speed is 2933. Can you get 2666 stable? If you don't have an xmp/docp option you might need to manually set things.

Pay attention to your voltage. Your sticks need 1.2V which might not be enough with four stick in there. That is for a set of two after all. You might need to set it for 1.35V which is what your ram in a four pack calls for.
