A friend gave me this and I was debating to use for my next build. The 3 built in fans jam up and dont spin all the time so I'd like see what the options I have are to swap them out or plan ahead where to put everything. A bit harder since it's currently in use.
And I dont know, I dont recall seeing a model number on it.

That is an old case, based upon the BFG stickers on the front: they've been out of business for a few years now.
I tried to find some info on that case, but was unsuccessful: Couldn't find anything like it nor any pictures similar in my searching with Google.
Probably not a bad idea to just call Lian li or email their support with that picture.

Yea haha. I saw the BFGs on there and only thought that someone actually put the stickers from something on it.
It never occurred to me yea, they went out of business. I just hadn't seen em anymore.
But yea, that looks like the best bet with the extra fan setup in it.
Dude gave me the 2 dvd drives 2. Both were broken and scratched to hell the disc I put into them.
Other than that its big and heavy, lots of space inside.
its a mid but jeez, theres a lot of room in it.
Do you recommend to stick with it then? I just need to get those 3 fan replacements. or can you recommend some good price, semi silent? Sound usually isnt a concern but I did have these beastly fans from an old Dell XPS someone gave me that would badly need a fan controller because plugging it in with full molex made it vibrate on the floor and almost knock itself over.

Oh and what kind of replacement front panel can I get for USB3.0? Also not sure if I'd need new 3.5m jacks as one of those we plugged headphones and and damn near ripped the wire trying to pull them back out.

Pretty sure this; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835185020 is the 5.25 x3 bay that was used, the notches in the corners are the same.

I'd re-use the case, it looks alright if those are indeed the specs. Since it has some dinks to it maybe make it a restoration project with some spray paint and such.

If those DVD drives are broken replace them with a 5.25 Fan Controller and USB 3 hub.

I'd just use the motherboard jacks rather than front audio tbh.

Soulage looks like that is the case. I saw, on one of the sites I went using google, an old advertisement for that fan insert that is just below the DVD's, so the prior owner probably customized it with that insert.

TheGlow: It's still a good case, but only you can decide if it is worth all the work to adapt it to your rig. You can search the various on-line etailers for fans; there is at least one tutorial here on Tom's regarding fans. Lot of people like Noctua and Schythe (sic). As for a replacement jack for the front; might be easier to put a splitter into your motherboard audio plug - hook the speakers up to one lead and your headphones to another. If you really want to do the repair thing you should be able to find an audio jack on-line (Newegg, MicroCenter, Radio Shack if they are still around at all).

I checked my notes and the other fans I had were,
Nidec fan
Speed: 3600 RPM
Air Flow: 130 CFM
Noise Level: 50 dBA

RPM: 3900 RPM
Air Flow: 148.34 CFM
Noise Level: 51 dBA

So I would definitely need a fan controller.
I need to check if they would even fit into that expansion fan piece.
Also I need to check if I even have them. That was a few years ago so I don't know if I kept them when I moved or tossed em.
