[SOLVED] Help Me Identify HDD Noise

I was playing games tonight and started hearing a repeated screeching sound that I haven't heard before from my hdd. You can hear it here: https://sndup.net/25f4

The computer stopped detecting the hdd and it doesn't show up in device management. Should I give up on my hdd or is there some way to fix this? I looked online but couldn't find a similar sound. Thanks for the help


HDD is Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB, appx 10 years old.

Any drive making new noises is suspect, if this is in fact the actual drive.
Any drive not making noises is also suspect.

Time to start a good backup routine.
