I have a hp laptop that is now 2 years old. I have noticed a decrease in performance in the games that I have play on it. I only play lighter games like League of Legends and my son plays minecraft on it. However recently I have noticed a 10 or so fps drop. I noticed it before and after patches for league of legends. So I know it wasn't the update. The specs are AMD A4-5000 APU 4GB of Ram ( another 4g stick is on the way to me now ), 500gb WD blue, The APU is soldered to the mobo so I know that is not an upgrade path. Like I said I have 4gb of ram on the way but is there any other upgrades I can to that could increase the performance more than just a few fps. The laptop is not bogged down by a antivirus either. They laptop is primarily business use and only play games when on trips or like I said when my son wants to play minecraft. If there isnt a way that is fairly inexpensive ( under 100 US dollars) then I am not really interest in solving the problem I would rather take that 100 and put it towards a new higher spec laptop with dedicated gpu
