hello guys!!!!
my system has following config:-
amd athlon 64 x2 4800+
asus m2a-vm motherboard
amd 690g northbridge
ati sb600 southbridge
2x1gb ddr2 800 transcend jetram modules
ocz vendetta 2 cpu cooler
the default speed of my cpu is 2500mhz. 12.5 multiplier, 200 mhz bus speed & 1000mhz ht link.
now, i've overclocked it. now speed is 2937mhz, multiplier at 12.5, bus speed at 235mhz & ht link at 1175mhz.
i've dropped memory speed at 667mhz and increased voltage to 2.0v from default 1.8v, my current fsb:dram is cpu/8
i've also increased vcore voltage to 1.475v from 1.375v
this is the maximum i could get at this vcore voltage, now if i increase the bus speed from 235mhz; i've to increase vcore voltage too.
plz help me in further overclocking. i want to reach 3000mhz min with my cpu. i've got that speed but i've to increase vcore voltage to ~1.6v
and i've heard that vcore voltage of more than 1.45v can burn cpu.
my current config is stable with prime95 stress test. and my current full load temperature is ~63c. highest safe temperature for 4800+ is 72c according to amd's website.
is increasing bus speed & vcore voltage also increase southbridge & northbridge temperature?
