help me on upgrading pc (newbie inside wants to game)

hello guys im really newbie at this, can you guys provide me with informations about what can i do to upgrade with my current spec? i want to upgrade my graphics and processor, what can i upgrade into with Zotac G/P-31 F-71862 mainboard?
Specs:
ZOTAC G/P-31 F-71862 Mainboard
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual-Core CPU E5200 @2.50Ghz
DDR 2 2x1gb
Package: Socket 775 LGA
Cores:2
Threads:2
Graphics: Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset.
and how do i get to know how much RAM slot i have?
it says dual channel and dc mode symmetric
type DDR2, does Motherboard/processor affects the type?
and on memory slot selection it has 4 slots with 2 filled with 1024mb each

im not sure since my country's in asia and the price differs, i was wondering does the VGA has to be DDR2 too since my ram is ddr2? i saw biostar 9500 gt 1gb 128bit vga can my computer run that?
and for processor what's better than E8600 core 2 duo for my pc?
